Toddler – Ootdoor Learning Program to Ganep Bakery – Stories in Action: The Gingerbread Man
Toddler students recently took part in an exciting out-of-class learning experience at Ganep Bakery, where the story of The Gingerbread Man came to life. The children were introduced to the baking process through a hands-on approach, allowing them to knead dough, explore textures, and decorate their own cookies. Through this activity, they practiced following simple instructions, recognizing materials and tools, and engaging their senses. With the support of teachers and parents, the children began to build confidence in a new environment while actively participating in meaningful, real-life learning.
Beyond the activity itself, the experience encouraged deeper learning as children adapted to unfamiliar surroundings, made choices during the decorating process, and collaborated with peers and parents. They demonstrated early independence, practiced turn-taking, and expressed their ideas and excitement throughout the session. This learning experience not only strengthened their fine motor and social-emotional skills but also connected classroom learning to the real world, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a sense of achievement in every child.
