Toddler – Motorics: Let’s Harvest the Fruits!

Our Toddler students have been exploring different environments, learning about the forest and the polar regions. They also discovered some of the things that can be found in these areas, including various kinds of fruits. To make the experience more engaging, the children were first introduced to a fun finger warm-up, moving their fingers to a rhythm before starting the activity.

After the warm-up, the children took part in a simple pretend play of “harvesting” tropical fruits using colorful pompoms. They practiced pinching the pompoms with three fingers—the thumb, pointer, and tall-man—to strengthen their fine motor skills.

This enjoyable activity not only supported the development of their hand strength and coordination but also helped prepare them for important daily skills such as self-feeding. ***
