Toddler – Motoric Skill: Dino Adventure in Action
Our toddler students had a dino-mite day filled with funmotoric activities! First, they sang “Move Like the Dinosaurs”, copying their teachers’ dino impressions—sharp claws for the T-Rex, high hands for the Brontosaurus, and flapping arms for the Pteranodon.
Then, it was time for an adventurous journey across the “river” just like in Harry’s story to Dino World! They practiced their balance on the beam bridge, jumped across “stepping stones,” and used their strength to carry large objects like little explorers! These activities encouraged active participation, body awareness, and imagination while building listening and imitation skills.
The student took turns, waited patiently for their friends, and encouraged one another through each obstacle. Those high-energy activities supported not only their physical development but also their social-emotional growth. Learning through movement is dino-tastically fun! ***
