Toddler – Maths: Superhero Math Adventure

The activity started with the teacher reviewing numbers 0 to 7 using number cards, and the students said the numbers together. Then, the teacher introduced a new number, 8, showed the card, and asked the students to repeat how to say “eight.” The students were also asked to point to the number 8 to help them recognize it.

After that, the teacher gave the students superhero pictures that were cut into two parts. The students worked to match and rebuild the pictures. When they finished, the teacher asked them to look at the superheroes’ outfits, such as masks, capes, gloves, and boots. The teacher explained counting by showing that if an item was there, it meant 1, and if it was not there, it meant 0. The teacher then used number cards 0 and 1 and asked the students to match them with what they saw.

This activity helped students understand numbers in a simple and fun way. They learned what 0 and 1 mean by seeing real examples. It also helped them practice observing and solving problems, which are useful skills in everyday life.
