Toddler – Maths: Big and Small

Toddlers participated in pretending as a superhero. Teacher wore the superhero costumes and encouraged students to recognise them such as mask, cape, belt, and gloves. They also were reviewed to Supertato story.

Toddlers were invited to join the simple game: Where should I go? by matching the character pictures of Supertato and Evil Pea. Before, they were introduced to the different size (big and small). Here, the teacher used Supertato (big size) and Evil Pea (small size). Children matched the pictures in turn. They also followed the teacher to say “it’s big” and “it’s small”. After that, they practiced to arrange the simple puzzle as their task.

Through these activities, toddlers learned how to classify pictures with different size and enrich their vocabularies through this Superhero Adventures theme. These designed activities will develop their hands-and-eyes coordination and strengthen their fingers in arranging the puzzle pieces.
