Toddler – Math: Where is My Den?
Toddler were introduced to symbol of numbers by having an exploration through singing and playing with the Superhero action figures. They showed their confidence in singing “I’m a Superhero” and pretending like a superhero. The session aimed to make learning fun and enjoyable.
The teachers informed that each superhero has different costumes such as mask, gloves, cape, belt, and boots. As an addition, Ts reviewed the symbol of numbers 1-7 and introduce Ss with number 8. Then, children were invited to participate in grouping the numbers by matching the symbol of number on superhero costumes. Students showed their ability in matching and recognising the numbers in turn.
Through this activity, learning is more enjoyable and students can explore the symbol of numbers through different media (toys). Besides can developing their ability in recognising the numbers, it will also help them to recognise the superhero costumes and their functions.
