Toddler – Math: Recognising Numbers and making diorama
On the previous Maths lesson, Toddlers students were full of giggles, curiosity, and big stomps as they explored the world of dinosaurs! They gathered on the playground with some tress to imagine where dinos once lived. They excitedly shared their experiences from the dino park that they have been visited, books, or movies they’ve seen. Then they move like dinosaurs by stomping, tail-waving, and counting from 0 to 10! These fun activity sparking their imagination and develop their gross motor skills.
Next, they watched pictures of dino habitats and learned about what different dinos eat. They were also getting a chance to find the number cards on the trees that boost their understanding of nature along with number recognition skill. Back in the class, they couldn’t wait to create their very own dinosaur world! Using a green-painted box and number-marked decorations, our little learners practiced fine motor skills and as they built their own dino diorama by pasting the number they’ve found previously. Every roar and laugh was a step toward building their confidence along with curiosity and critical thinking. ***
