Toddler – Learning Project: My Lucky Little Ladybird (Day 1)
On the first day of “My Lucky Little Ladybird” project, toddler students began their exploration by hunting the ladybird pictures in the Playground. They pretended to hunt the pictures by using the binocular. Children learned about this small minibeast through Look, Listen, Learn & Ask tons of Questions phase. Through the pictures, students learned about the colours, types of spots, and its habitat.
To confirm students’ observation and prior knowledge about the ladybird, we used Ladybird Observation Book that they have submitted. This book helped them to recognise the characteristic of the ladybird and to tell their simple experience in observing the ladybird.
To deepen their understanding, toddlers watched the videos about ladybird’s fun facts and introduced them with “Hey, Ladybird” song. ***
