Toddler – Entry Point: Animal Rescuers

The journey began as students were led to become the animal rescuers. They wore the doctor costume with the medical stuffs. Children then were asked to save the pets. Teachers asked the students to follow the footprints that led them to the Playground. They showed their willingness to help the pets and brought them to the Animal Rescue Center. There, children participated in play pretend activity by examining the animal condition.

Once they have done, Students were introduced to the thematic vocabulary pictures such as tiger, monkey, elephant, and crocodile. They were asked to recognise the pictures by moving and imitating animal movement. These young rescuers also showed their creativity in colouring their favourite animal pictures using crayon. This activity allowed them to strengthen their fine motor skill and to help them in recognising the animal names based on the context.

To extend their learning, teachers asked the students to practice saying their own name and “thank you” when they received animal toys from either teachers or their classmates. The activity encouraged students to show their confidence, deeper understanding, and communications skills during their interaction with others. ***
