Toddler – English: Superhero School Match-Up Fun
The activity began with the teacher explaining that superheroes also needed to go to school to be smart. The teacher introduced simple school-related vocabulary such as bag, shoes, and socks using flashcards. The students listened and repeated the words after the teacher to practice pronunciation.
Next, the teacher prepared a card-matching game using sets of cards that included pictures of a bag, shoes, socks, and a superhero. The students took turns opening two cards to find matching pairs. When a student found a match, the teacher gave praise and encouragement. Even when the cards did not match, the students were still asked to say the vocabulary and were rewarded with a high five for their effort.
This activity helped students learn new vocabulary in a fun and supportive way. It encouraged participation, built confidence, and improved memory through repetition and play. These skills are useful in real-life situations, such as remembering important items for school and communicating basic needs in everyday life.
