Toddler – English: All Washed Up
Continuing the learning activity about the beach, toddlers were shown to the video about marine pollution where there were many trashes scattered in the ocean such as plastic bottles, twigs, and driftwoods (nature and man-made). Students were encouraged to tell their ideas about it.
After having a mini discussion in the classroom, toddlers participated to the outdoor activity. They pretended to clean up the sea from the trash and driftwoods. They worked together to collect and throw the trash to the correct place. Then, they started to collect the pictures about marine pollution and tried to mention them.
This activities brought them to develop their critical thinking, improve their curiosity, and strengthen children’s character of caring for the environment. ***
