Toddler – BMC 2025 Challenge Cards: Strengthening Observation and Decision-Making Skills
Continuing the progression of the BMC 2025 Project, the Challenge Card Stage invited students to deepen their understanding through a series of missions designed to enhance observation, reasoning, and purposeful decision-making. In Mission 1, students revisited items found in care homes using storybooks and video clips, responding to guiding questions such as “What do you see?” and “How many are there?” to articulate their observations clearly.
Students then participated in a motor-based challenge, walking across a balance beam to collect pictures of relevant items. This challenge required them to determine whether the objects matched the context of the care homes, blending visual recall with physical engagement. Such activities nurtured the ability to sort information and make simple but meaningful decisions.
In Mission 2, students received a Challenge Card prompting them to choose stationery and healthy foods for friends at PA Gunungan. Through teacher-facilitated discussions, they explored how to obtain and categorize them by color and type. This stage interconnected higher-order thinking skills with the development of generosity and social responsibility.
