Toddler Beijing : Recognising Shapes

Toddler Beijing Students were introduced to Stanley’s Stick story. A boy named Stanley had a favorite toy: a stick from a tree branch.

He pretended the stick was a whistle, banana, spoon, rocket, dinosaur, and many more. Students were encouraged to do an imaginative play just like Stanley. They pretended to use a stick to be a magic stick that could draw shapes. With teachers’ guidance, students drew squares and circles on the sand, and they were asked to recognize the conditions and mention them by repeating them after the teachers. ***
