Toddler – Arts: Making a Jungle Diorama

Toddler – Arts: Making a Jungle Diorama

Expressing previously learned knowledge through hands-on projects allows students to explore and apply their understanding in meaningful ways. In the Animal Rescuers theme, which focuses on forest habitats, Toddler students worked collaboratively to create forest dioramas. The project was divided into groups: some students were responsible for coloring used boxes to represent the forest floor, using stamping techniques to add texture. Other groups colored pictures of trees and forest animals, while some students crafted leaves by crumpling paper to add a tactile element.

This activity not only deepened the students’ knowledge of forest ecosystems but also fostered teamwork and developed their fine motor skills through coloring, stamping, and paper crumpling. By engaging multiple skills in a single project, the students experienced the power of integrated learning, where creativity, cooperation, and skill-building come together seamlessly. What a wonderful example of hands-on exploration and holistic development!***
