Primary – Preparation Class: Sharing with Parents
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Focus Independent School held a special meeting with parents of the upcoming Preparation Class students. These students, who previously attended kindergartens outside of FIS, will join the school in the academic year 2026/2027. The meeting was designed not only to share information about the Preparation Class but also to provide parents with prior knowledge about the routines and culture practiced at FIS.
The session emphasized that the Preparation Class is more than just an introduction, it is a bridge for children to adapt smoothly to their new learning environment. Parents were guided through the goals of the program, which include helping children adjust academically and socially while also familiarizing families with the school’s values and daily practices.
During the meeting, FIS proudly introduced the three teachers who will lead the Preparation Class starting May 25, 2026: Mr. Dika, Ms. Anita, and Ms. Achya. Their role will be crucial in supporting the children’s transition and ensuring that the class becomes a nurturing space where students feel welcomed and ready to begin their journey at FIS.
The impact of this Preparation Class is expected to be significant. In the short term, it helps parents understand the importance of adaptation and provides the school with valuable data about new students. In the long term, it ensures that when the children officially enter Primary 1 in the academic year 2026/2027, they will already be familiar with FIS routines, values, and expectations. This foundation will not only ease their transition but also strengthen their confidence and readiness to thrive in the years ahead.
