​Primary – L-Fest: Spell Bee-mazing

Primary students recently participated in an exciting event called the Spell Bee-mazing Competition. The competition was done in four rounds: preliminary, quarterfinal, semifinal and the final round. Students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 were grouped into MP1, MP2 and MP3. They eagerly joined the event and showcased their spelling enthusiasm. 

The students competed in the preliminary to semifinal round through written spelling bee tests. In the final round, they showcased their skills in a spoken format, battling it out with confidence and precision. While the finalists were competing, the other students supported them by watching the live streaming enthusiastically.

There were six finalists for each MP. They competed fairly for a chance to become the winner of this competition. Three winners were chosen from each MP. The winners are:

MP1 Winners

2. Awang Ganesha Raharjo (P2 Sweden)

3. Natalie Liong (P2 Denmark)

MP2 Winners

1. Locita Galya Elcahyono (P4 Mexico)

2. Lkahn Hamizdary Radinka (P3 Japan)

3. Nabila Zafira Arsha (P4 Spain)

MP3 Winners

1. Jevan Ivander Wilfred (P5 France)

2. Edward Davidson Gunawan (P5 France)

3. James Alexander Heru Pranoto (P6 Switzerland)

This competition was brought to celebrate the learning journey of English lesson. It was designed to respond on the facts that students need more support in having correct spelling. Through this competition, the students got extended chance to practice their spelling in supporting the overall English skill in interesting and meaningful way.

Throughout the event, students demonstrated remarkable dedication and effort, enhanced their vocabulary and spelling abilities. Overall, the competition was a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves and grow both academically and personally. Having this kind of activity as reference for regular stimulation would certainly leave impact for students’ skill and ability. ***
