Primary 6 – Visual Arts: Environmental Awareness
As part of their project-based learning, Primary 6 students explored real environmental issues around the FIS campus. Applying observation and interview skills, they identified key problems such as toilet cleanliness, dining room waste, and classroom conditions.
Students then analyzed the causes and effects of these issues, developed possible solutions, and synthesized their findings into campaign posters. Each group created meaningful messages using persuasive language and visual design to communicate their ideas effectively.
To extend their impact, they conducted peer outreach by presenting to younger classes, encouraging school-wide awareness and action. This project not only fostered responsibility and collaboration, but also deepened their understanding of how individual actions affect the school environment.
The campaign posters were included in their final semester portfolios as evidence of both learning and leadership. ***
