Primary 6: Student-led Conference
Term 3 was coming to an end. To end the wonderful term, P6 students presented their learning process in a Students Led Conference (SLC). SLC was held on Wednesday and Thursday, 20-21 March 2024. Students started the presentation by explaining a chosen learning process. The learning process varies from subject-based material such as Science, Maths, IPC, IPS, English as well as activity-based events like Futsal Competition, Friendship Bracelets, and Outdoor Learning Program.
Students prepared for SLC the whole term. They worked hard in choosing the important stuff they wanted to highlight during their presentation. Support coming from parents became such a booster where they could passionately share their interests, feelings, and all the best moments they have experienced in learning.
After the presentation, students invited their parents to ask questions and give comments related to the material they had informed. The warm conversation and the pride in the parents’ eyes were radiated highlighting students’ hard work and growing confidence in the presentation. Afterward, students led their parents to see the artwork and portfolios that were displayed around the class. While moving around, they explained each project and the value they got after making each display.
Students felt immense relief after they showed their best during the whole SLC. The best moment was when both students and parents walked out the door, hand in hand and smiling, knowing that each one of them learned something unforgettable that day. ***
