Primary 6 – Science: Mass and Weight
P6 students learned about “More About Forces” in Science Class. In this chapter, students discussed mass and weight. In daily life, we often use ‘weight’ when we mean ‘mass,’ but in science, mass differs from weight. Mass is the amount of matter in an object, and it can be measured in units such as kilograms and grams using a balance. Different from mass, weight is the gravitational force acting on an object, and it can be measured in the unit of newton using a force meter. In learning this material, students could measure the mass and weight of some objects using a force meter. ***
