Primary 6 – Science: Friction
In Science class, P6 students learned More About Forces. In this chapter, the students discussed Frictional Force. The frictional force is a force that opposes motion when two surfaces are in contact. They experimented with frictional force by playing with toy cars on different surfaces. The surfaces were made from cardboard, bubble wrap, and cloth. From the experiment, the students found out that the rougher surface, like bubble wrap and cloth, have greater friction because they made the toy car go slower. The smooth surface, like cardboard, had less friction because it made the toy car go faster. ***
