Primary 6 – Orientation: Practical Skill and Sport Day
To welcome the new academic year, Primary 6 students participated in a series of fun and meaningful activities that helped them reconnect after nearly a month-long school break. These activities were carefully designed to reintroduce students to the school environment in an enjoyable and relaxed way, helping them feel refreshed and ready to begin their learning journey.
Throughout the week, students took part in various engaging sessions including Eat Bulaga games, a sports session playing softball and basketball at Manahan, a morning aerobic exercise (senam pagi), Brain Bowl, and life skill challenges such as folding shirts and tying shoelaces. Each activity offered different experiences and learning opportunities. While some focused on developing important life skills, others emphasized the value of teamwork and togetherness.
Among the highlights was the traditional game Gobak Sodor, which was unfamiliar to many students. However, they quickly adapted to the game and played it remarkably well, showing great enthusiasm and energy. Their performance reflected not only their willingness to try new things but also their strong sense of collaboration and sportsmanship.
Throughout every activity, the students showed excitement, participation, and a spirit of camaraderie. Laughter, joy, and encouragement filled the atmosphere as they supported one another and celebrated each small achievement. More than just games, these activities served as a meaningful platform for the students to grow—physically, mentally, and socially.
By fostering teamwork, enhancing daily life skills, and encouraging a positive learning mindset, these experiences laid a strong foundation for the rest of the school year. As the oldest students in Primary, they are stepping into a leadership role, and this orientation helped set the tone for their journey ahead. Through these moments, they are reminded that growth happens not only in the classroom but also through shared experiences, challenges, and meaningful connections.
Together, they are ready to embrace the new academic year with confidence, unity, and the spirit of “growing beyond the classroom.” ***
