Primary 6 – IPC: Improving Learning with Growth Mindset
P6 students learned how to improve their learning using a growth mindset. At first, they watched short videos about a green monster named ‘Mojo’, who has struggled with his learning at school and decides to use a growth mindset to improve his learning.
Then, P6 students were asked to find out some actions that could be used to improve their growth mindset based on the video. From the videos, they found many ways to improve learning using a growth mindset such as: believing in ourselves, never giving up, not being afraid to make mistakes, asking for help from others, etc.
To have a deeper understanding, the teacher made a sharing session to share their learning struggle at the P6 level. Students joined the sharing session time enthusiastically. After that, they chose some actions to build a growth mindset to deal with their learning struggle. They were asked to make a mind map about how to improve their learning using a growth mindset as a recording activity. In the end, students confirmed that a growth mindset can be built by doing positive actions. ***
