Primary 6: Fascinating Oil and Water Experiment
P6 students learned Science through experiments as part of orientation. They did the easy-to-set-up experiment involving mixing equal parts oil and water and adding a drop of food coloring. It gets them excited about the new information they are about to learn, “More About Changes.”
Each student fills the plastic with oil mixed with the food coloring using a pipette. During the observation, they love seeing the explosion of color once the food coloring makes it through the oil. At the end of the experiment, they could conclude that oil is less dense than water.
Doing a simple experiment is the way to see how students can perform responsibility. During the experiment, they were challenged not to spill the oil. They did a great job during the experiment by keeping their surroundings clean. ***
