Primary 5 – Visual Arts: Realism
On this day, Thursday the 18th of January 2024, the Primary 5 students learned about realist art with the theme “Fruits, Plants and Flowers”. The subject was groups of fruits. At the beginning of the lesson, they were reminded of the basic techniques of drawing realism, such as sketching, drawing the details of the object, and finishing (coloring).
First, they were asked about their favorite fruit and allowed to share their answer with the class, and then they started to draw the fruit basket with the fruit on top. Finally, they were asked to color it with colored pencils. Their enthusiasm was evident during the drawing process. ***
