
Primary 5 – Visual Arts: Mini Exhibition
Primary 5 students launch their final products in form of mini exhibition under the theme ‘The Beauty of Indonesia’. The 3D products that they have made, like the traditional house(Honai, Joglo house,Kalimantan house), Borobudur temple, diorama of Merapi mountain, Book of Nusantara and also raincoat with Batik decoration. The exhibition was visited by other students from levels of P1,P3,P4, staff, other teachers and also principal. The booth also decorated with pictures and information about the products they have made. Every members of the groups participated in informing other students related to the products. The information that they deliver, like materials to make the products, the process to make the products, what are the challenges, etc. As a confirmation, every visitors are allowed to give feedback written in papers and they can stick them in the space provided.
The exhibition was symbolized as the final learning celebration stages that the students had, start from gathering with their teammates to find ideas and sources, sketching of the products, the making process of the products, finishing with highlight and fix process then the launching of the products. They also learn to accept feedback in every meetings as a group reflection to find solutions to maximize their products.
Since it was the first time for students to work in groups during VA lesson, they are exposed to gain experience to have a creative process to design a product based on the theme given. Their creativity mixed with their open minded and critical thinking to form solutions to make the products better. Overall, students received respect and appreciation to what they have done and hopefully students will realize that there are room of improvement in every creations made and they will enjoy that process in the future. ***
