Primary 5 – Visual Arts: 3D Drawing
Primary 5 students learned about 3D drawing under the theme Fruits, Plants and Flowers. At first, students were asked to found pictures references of groups of fruits and vegetables and print it. The pictures were used by the students to sketch in the next meeting. After that, they were asked to sketch in their own paper based on the pictures references in form of Realism. For the finishing part, they bold and colour their creation using marker or coloured pencils. They were allowed to give decoration in their sketch according to the theme given. Be patient in drawing 3D objects becomes the focus to make sure that the students can express and enjoy every process of their creation. This is important to make students confident to work on the creation maximally.
Visual Arts appreciates the process as big as the end product. This projection fosters students’ consistency in following the steps structurally. Later on, their final products will be launched in form of display during Student Led Conference. The students showed their enthusiasm during the discussion and making the sketch.
Furthermore, by developing their consistency in drawing objects properly can be applied in the other lesson and also their daily life. Ensuring the students will do the instruction and following steps in a proper structure to produce better result.
