Primary 5 – Visual Arts 1: Point Perspective
Primary 5 learned about 1-point perspective artworks. It was a creation that produced illusion and 3D dimensional of objects from biggest to smallest as they were further away. The theme was buildings. At the beginning of the lesson, they learned about the basic techniques to draw this creation. There were some steps that they had to follow:
- Make the horizontal line.
- Put the vanishing point in the middle of the horizontal line.
- Draw some lines to connect to the vanishing point.
- Draw the objects inside the lines.
- Erase the lines after the objects were formed.
Then, they were asked to bold the sketch using a drawing pen. As the finishing, they color it with colored pencils. Most of the students succeeded in applying the techniques they’ve learned to their own sketches. ***
