Primary 5 – Science: States of Matter

In previous grades, P5 students have learned that substances can exist as solids, liquids, and gases. They also learned that the particle model can be used to explain the properties of solids, liquids as well and gases.

Continuing that, P5 students made soap bubbles to learn the particle model and properties of matter. For making the soap bubbles, students needed to prepare hot water, sugar grain, room temperature water, liquid dish soap, and containers (glass and large bowl). They observed and identified the state of matter from the ingredients. Then, students mixed the ingredients by following the teacher’s instructions. ***
