Primary 5 – Science : Reflection of Light
The bouncing of light off the surface is called the reflection of light. P5 students noticed that the bouncing pattern is similar to when a tennis ball bounces. They threw a table tennis ball on the floor and observed that it bounced off the floor in different directions. To check whether a mirror can reflect light, P5 students shone a flashlight into it. They shone it from different angles. Based on the experiment, P5 students concluded two points:
1 It is true that when light falls on a mirror, it is reflected in another direction.
2. The direction of the beam of light changes when it falls on the mirror.
By doing the experiment and observation, they learned the joy of testing a prediction and finding the truth. ***
