Primary 5 – IPC: Learn about Groups through Mnemonic
P5 students explored a strategy to memorize information through mnemonic. First, they tried to find out what mnemonic is by observing from the samples given. Then, they were exposed to the Solar System and how to easily memorize the planets using this mnemonic: My Very Excited Mother Just Served Us Noodles in several minutes. After that, the teacher discussed with the students related to the mnemonic to confirm their understanding. For the two proceeding meetings, students made a mnemonic on how to work well as a group. The keyword of the mnemonic should be using ‘GROUPS’. ***
