Primary 5 – English: Legends in Ink
The Legends in Ink Exhibition was a special event where P5 students proudly showcased the biographies they had written. Throughout this learning journey, students explored what a biography is, how it tells the story of a real person’s life, and why such stories are meaningful. After learning the basics, each student selected someone they admired—such as a scientist, leader, singer, or athlete—and wrote a biography about them. With guidance from the teacher, they researched facts, organised their ideas, and crafted clear and engaging stories. To enhance their work, they also added pictures and creative decorations.
The highlight of the project was the exhibition itself. Students presented their biographies to teachers, S-Team members, and peers from other grade levels. They answered questions, shared interesting stories, and engaged in meaningful conversations. Many students expressed how much they enjoyed the experience and felt proud to share their work. At the same time, they acknowledged the challenge of presenting in a crowded space—learning to speak clearly, explain their work effectively, and respond to questions with confidence.
Visitors, especially teachers, offered warm compliments, praising the students for their impressive and thoughtful writing. These kind words made the students feel appreciated and motivated them to continue learning and growing.
More than just a display of written work, The Legends in Ink Exhibition was a celebration of learning, creativity, and personal development. Students left the event feeling more confident, inspired, and excited to make a difference in their own unique ways. ***
