Primary 4 – IPC: Rainforest Flap Book

Learning about rainforests in their IPC class has significantly broadened the knowledge of P4 students while raising their environmental awareness. After creating an imaginative rainforest as part of their entry point, the students dove deeper into the topic. They watched videos that explored various aspects of rainforests, including their types, locations, plants, animals, climate, importance, and the threats they face. These videos provided them with a wealth of detailed information, helping them understand that rainforests aren’t just dense forests with many trees, but that there are two main types: temperate and tropical.

With this newfound understanding, the students created flap books that highlighted the key facts they learned about both temperate and tropical rainforests. They carefully documented information on the locations, plants, animals, climate, significance, and threats specific to each type. Their creativity and hard work in crafting these flap books deserve a round of applause, as they demonstrated both their artistic skills and their deepening knowledge of the environment. ***
