Primary 4 – I Care
I care Program is a school program to build students’ awareness of their surroundings. By being aware of small things around them, the students are expected to make a simple yet consistent step that helps the environment to sustain. Related to the issue and Program, P4 students are learning the importance of building a better environment by being more aware of using paper in the classroom. To start with the Program, P4 students were given a chance to have a closer look at the process of making paper. The short video they watched taught them that wood is the main element of making paper obtained from a tree. They learned that the wood must undergo several processes before it becomes the paper they use daily. After watching the movie and getting an explanation from the teacher, the students were assigned to recall what they had learned by making a diagram showing the paper-making process. ***
