Primary 4 – English: Bringing Words to Life

P4 students explored the beauty of poems from different times and cultures. Inspired by this, they created their own poems on meaningful topics such as traditions and celebrations in their cultures. But poem is more than just writing, it’s about bringing words to life!

To fully experience this, students not only created their own poem, but they also present the poem. After writing it, the students practiced to present the poem. Then, students performed their poems using correct pronunciation, expressive intonation and clear vocal delivery. It is done to develop students’ confidence and communication skills.

This activity helps students to build important skills like creativity and speaking confidently. By writing their own poems, they learn to express their thoughts clearly. They also learn how figurative languages are applied properly in the poem. When they present their poems, they practice speaking in front of others using good pronunciation and expression to make their words come alive. ***
