Primary 3: The Excitement of Introducing Traditional Games

Primary 3: The Excitement of Introducing Traditional Games

On Friday, 1 August 2025, During School Orientation, P3 students introduced P2 students to various Indonesia traditional games, including dakon, engklek, bekel and lompat tali. These games are simple yet full of joy, carry cultural values that have been passed down from generation to generation. This activity served as a valuable moment for students to both learn and preserve the nation’s cultural heritage.

Through this activity students practiced teamwork, communication, and respect for the different ways each game is played. P2 students enthusiastically participated in every game, while the P3 students took on the role of facilitators, demonstrating the games, explaining the rules, and guiding them with patience.

This activity will foster a love for Indonesian culture from an early age, while also developing students’ social skills and leadership. It is also expected that these traditional games continue to be cherished and played by the younger generation, keeping them alive as a proud part of our national identity. ***
