Primary 3 – SLC: My Outstanding SLC

P3 students have had their SLC or Students Led Conference successfully. During the SLC, they had a special moment to share about their learning experience and schoolwork as well as discussed the learning process to their parents. This chance also gave the parents a meaningful quality time with their children as they could provide feedback and support for their child’s ongoing educational progress.

P3 students presented their schoolwork very well. They explained the reason they chose that schoolwork and the process of creating it. After explaining their SLC, they explained the other schoolwork displayed on the display board. They could explain it enthusiastically. Parents were also supportive in asking questions and giving feedbacks to the students. They were also having interactive activities with the parents.

By having SLC, the students can explore their confidence in public speaking as well as improving their critical thinking in sharing the reasons and answering parents’ questions. They can also practice how to communicate politely with their parents. On the other hands, parents can also get update information about what have been learned.

The students are also expected to continuously upgrade their skills so that it can be their positive values in the future. By doing so, they can also use this experience to boost their motivation and awareness to be more creative in implementing their knowledge into real actions which can be impactful for others.

Before the SLC, students would make several schoolwork. Then, they were given time to decide the lesson that they would present to the parents as their SLC. After choosing the lesson, they would have practice with the teachers for preparation.
