Primary 3 – IPC: Making Moving Toy
Simple machine, such as lever, screw and inclined plane, becomes one of the interesting topics that students learnt in IPC: Inventions that Changed the World. P3 Students were assigned to make a toy grabber to get a deeper understanding about the definition, example and the application of the simple machine.
To make the grabber, students were put into a group of six. They modelled the design of toy grabber using the ice cream sticks, then inserted some tooth-picked sized stick in each ice cream stick holes. This was for the purpose to make the toy grabber can pinch and grab things properly. They were really engaged in the activities. ***
