Primary 3 – English: Reciting Poems with Style
Primary 3 performers took center stage for a dynamic English poem recitation performance, bringing literature to life in full costume with creative handmade props!
Choosing between two lively pieces—“Pinda Cake” and “The Pan and the Potatoes”—students drew on prior classroom analysis of onomatopoeia, alliteration, rhyme, and noun phrases to deeply understand their chosen works. Stepping up to the microphone, performers delivered expressive renditions evaluated on voice clarity, pronunciation, dramatic expression, and natural gestures. Meanwhile, attentive audience members listened actively to write heartening peer appreciation notes for their favorite acts!
By pairing dramatic performance with literary analysis and peer feedback, P3 deepened their understanding of poetry, boosted public speaking confidence, and fostered a supportive classroom community!
