Primary 2 – Mathematics: Learn Fractions through Creative Pizza-Making
Primary 2 students had a fun and engaging Maths lesson as they explored fractions through a creative pizza-making activity. The students pretended to be pizza makers and carefully divided their pizzas into halves and quarters. Using paper pizza templates, they added different toppings to each part, using their creativity to make their pizzas unique and colourful. Afterward, they described their pizzas, explaining how they split them and why they chose certain toppings for each part. This hands-on activity helped them understand the concept of equal parts while building their creativity, communication skills, and confidence. By working individually and sharing their work, students also developed important problem-solving and thinking skills that will support their progress and confidence in understanding maths concepts.
