Primary 2 – English: Practical Test: Haiku & Limerick
Our P2 students had a practical English Topic Test on Friday, November 15th. They performed their creation of Haiku and Limerick for their English practical Topic Test. This was not just a test, but a chance for the students to showcase their speaking and writing skills in a fun, practical way. They have shown great effort, in composing their original poems with the teacher’s guidance. To prepare for their performance, the students practiced at home with their parents and at school with the teacher. They also decorated their poems to boost their creativity. During their poem performance, they brought their performance to life with their voices, adding feelings through tone, rhyme, and even hand gestures. This whole activity was about helping the students understand language arts on a deeper level. It encouraged them to think about how their words and their performance could connect with the audience. By participating in this performance, the P2 students showed that they can communicate with both clarity and creativity. This is exactly what the English is all about. ***
