Primary 2 – After FE Leapro: Home and Family
On Thursday, the Primary 2 students reminisced about 3D shapes, family and emotions. They watched a film about dealing with family situations, drew the Colour Monster to express their feelings at home and watched a video about 3D shapes. In sensory activities they arranged 3D shape puzzles and identified models of cubes, cuboids or pyramids. The question “Can we build our own house with 3D shapes?” sparked curiosity and led students to explore building a house with 3D shapes. These activities aimed to recall and stimulate curiosity about building houses from 3D shapes.
In another activity after LeaPro, students tried to create a mind map to help them plan their healthy food creation. They created the recipe by interviewing their parents to decide which recipe they would make over the weekend. The students composed the steps, listed the ingredients, added the reasons why the menu could be considered healthy and also decided who would be in charge of the cooking activity.
