
Primary 1: Sharing is caring
In the term 1, Primary 1 students have learned about “Brainwave”. They have done many fun and meaningful activities to know about the brain. P1 students have learned brain is the main body parts which has important role for the body parts. Because of it is very important, they needed to share others.
First, they are divided into groups. Each group did their own plan to share about the brain. The groups made the draft contained the information about the brain. Then, they discussed and worked for the poster based on the draft. Last, every group presented their poster to people around the school.
After doing all of processes, students could aware that learning should be done in following all of processes. Students could know that the progress is better with teamwork. Students knew that presentation can built understanding better. This program also fostered critical thinking, as students analyzed and synthesized information about the brain to create their posters. By engaging in these collaborative and creative tasks, they developed a deeper appreciation for scientific inquiry and improved their communication skills. The hands-on approach made learning memorable, encouraging curiosity and a sense of ownership over their work.
This activity encourages students to be more confident in presenting the work. By doing the work together, students will realise that helping each other is the good thing to do. Over time, these experiences can have a lasting impact, cultivating skills as students learn to take initiative within their groups. The confidence gained from presenting to an audience will benefit them in future academic and social settings. Additionally, the emphasis on teamwork instills values of collaboration and empathy, which are essential for building strong interpersonal relationships and contributing to a supportive community in the long term. ***
