Primary 1 – Science: Look! The Object Can Make Sounds
Hey pals, who loves music? Yes, music is identically matched with sounds. Not only musical instrument that can make sounds, but also any other things in our surroundings like humans, animals and things that have never been alive.
At this time, Primary 1 students have learned about Sounds. They recognised that an object that makes sound is called as a source of sound. On Thursday, January 30th, 2024, they brought any object that they had at home especially things that they thought it can make a sound. Primary 1 students perceived that a sound is anything we can hear. The students also noticed that humans, animals and things that have never been alive also can make sounds.
By doing so, they shared the way how to make those things make sounds in front of their friends in class. They were so curious and very excited knowing the way how any simple things that they had at home can make sounds. By learning about this, the students acquired that not only musical instruments that can make sounds. They were very attractive learning this topic. The students can stimulate their logical thinking so that they can learn from the things that they might have at home to optimize their thinking scientifically.
By acquiring the knowledge about sounds, hopefully Primary 1 students can be aware of their surroundings and they can respect others by knowing how anything can be so useful, even the things can make sounds. Primary 1 students can be more curious in the future and always care to anyone. Thus, this learning successfully facilitate their cognitive ability and logical thinking by creating an object that can make sounds. Even they can create some things by reusing the things that they had like bottle, rice, beans.
