Primary 1: Orientation Days Semester 2
Welcome back to school!
As the beginning of second semester, Primary 1 students had two orientation days. There were fun and meaningful activities conducted to remind and prepare the students readiness into the learning. On Friday, 10 January 2025, Primary 1 students had some physical activities by walking around and doing game together. On Monday, 13 January 2025, they had stimulation about Reading Program and the way in using toilet properly.
Teachers asked and accompanied students to walk around school area. They walked and saw things haven’t been met around school. Then, P1 students gathered in Indonesia room to have teamwork games. The team is divided by each class. They needed to follow the instructions from coach Jeka and cooperated with the team to win the game. On the second day, P1 students made a flip book based on their own story book. They wrote book characteristics in the flip book. They were enjoy to do this activity.
Walking around activity encouraged P1 students to aware with their surroundings. It made them to the excitement in the beginning of learning. Then, Primary 1 students could know each other by doing the teamwork game. This game activity encouraged students in collaborating with others. By making flip book, students were stimulated to have deepen understanding to their story book. Then, by making poster about the way in using toilet encouraged the students to aware about cleanliness.
Students are expected to have good communication skills such as presenting information both written and orally. In addition, students also stimulated to develop their interaction skill. In the result, they will have better performance and apply the cooperation with their friends or their family in daily life.
These activities are expected to build students to be aware that learning experience should be followed from beginning. It will also encourage students’ parent to understand that learning can be done well if someone follow the whole learning process from the beginning until the end. By doing so, students will gain full learning experience.
