Primary 1 – Learning Project: Observing Environments

Primary-1 students learn that living and non-living things exist in an environment. The environment also provides sources for living things like air and water for humans, plants, and animals to stay alive. Different environments may show distinctive activities. To prove that, students got their chance to go around the school environment and Manahan sports arena to gain knowledge and experience in observing living and non-living things. They tried to identify what they saw and found and report their findings as data for further discussion. By doing so, students were actively engaged in their surroundings, which also helped to foster their curiosity and inquiry under the Look, Listen, and Learn phase. Introducing this kind of scientific thinking and activities at an earlier age will benefit them in dealing with challenges and problems in the future. ***
