Primary 1 – English : The Crocodile
Primary 1 students learned to use voices in different ways in reading a poem. In some parts they talked loudly and quietly in the other parts. After practising that, the students were asked to create a poem performance of The Crocodile, a poem by Lewis Caroll. For the performance, they made crocodile headband too.
In the performance, the students made the words in the poem sound exciting. They acted as if they were crocodiles. They smiled like a crocodile as they read the poem and acted that the crocodile was going to eat the fish. By having this activity, students learned to make a poem fun to be listened and improve their confidence in using English.
