Primary 1 – English: Mini-book
As the final project of the “Information Texts” unit, Primary-1 students were asked to create their mini-book about plastic recycling; previously, students had information about plastic waste, the plastic problem, and what people could do to solve it. Then, they used the information to make their information book. The students started it by making the title, drawing pictures to make them easier to compose sentences, and making diagrams to give clearer information. In the end, students wrote a blurb for their books.
By having this activity, the students are encouraged to improve their writing skills. They are also expected to understand that information text should be written clearly because of its importance. Furthermore, the students are trained to use their knowledge and skills to create something and solve daily problems. ***
