Primary 1 – Character Building: Resilience
Learning about resilience is a challenging thing. Therefore, Primary 1 students were stimulated to construct their knowledge about resilience through playing a fun game. In the game, students were asked to work in pairs. Firstly, the teacher gave two balls for the students to be kept using their hands. Then, they were given more and more balls to handle. When they felt it was too difficult to bring all the balls, the teacher allowed them to ask for help from their friends.
By experiencing the game, students would be able to know their limits and be willing to ask for help. However, it should initially be emphasized that before asking for help, make sure that they have tried their best to finish the tasks. ***
