Primary 6 – IPC: P6 Students Find Out What Makes A Good Learner

P6 students are able to find out the connection between Brain and Learning in Entry Point. After P6 students had finished making the preparation for the learning they had formulated, they also had the chance to practice teaching the lesson. This time, P6 students had the opportunity to teach P5 students about certain skills in order to find out the connection between the brain and learning.

At first, P6 students introduced themselves and started to teach the skills. Since it was their first experience, P6 students tried their best to perform their skills in front of P5 students. After finishing teaching, P6 students had a reflection on the teaching they had done and its learning environment.

The next day, they made a mind map about “what makes a good learner in learning” based on their experience with P5. They found out many things that helped them to learn effectively. For example, in learning, students need to focus, be active, and be curious, and the learning environment also must be supportive. As a consequence, the brain can obtain, process, and store the materials discussed effectively. ***
