Nursery – Science: Star Glowing Experiment
The Star Glowing Experiment was conducted by Nursery students to introduce them to basic scientific observation in a fun and interactive way. The activity involved using simple materials that they could find at home, such as water, turmeric powder, and flash light. First, students poured water into a clear jar. Then, they carefully placed the jar on top of a flashlight that had been turned on and set facing upward. After that, the students slowly added turmeric powder into the water.
As the turmeric mixed with the water, students began to notice changes. The color of the water gradually turned bright yellow, and as the light shone through the jar from underneath, they could see the mixture begin to glow. The light highlighted the yellow particles, creating a beautiful glowing effect like a star shining in the night sky.
This moment amazed the students. They were able to see the transformation happen directly in the water, from clear to golden yellow. They also could observe how light passed through the turmeric, making it appear to glow like magic.
